Northmount is starting something new: SchoolZone!
SchoolZone is an information system developed by Edmonton Public Schools. It provides parents and students with secure access to school and student information and is designed to enhance communication between school and home. Using portal technology and the convenience of the Internet, it is available any time and any place.
SchoolZone will provide online access to daily homework assignments and class news from participating classroom teachers in a convenient calendar format. By using SchoolZone parents will have timely access to information and help them be more actively involved in their children's academic success. Students will have access to a valuable organizational tool to help them plan their time. As well, you can find attendance records, news of school events, achievement results, timetables, and access to selected online educational resources.
Since this is new to Northmount we will be starting slow. Teacher information such as homework assignments, and class news will be optional BUT school news, attendance records, achievement results and access to online educational resources will be available. Please watch for the information package and application form for your child. This account will follow your child all the way to GRADE 12.
